The law won't allow you to buy vacation apartments in Geneva, Lausanne, Zurich or Zug. It is already difficult for Swiss people to buy apartments in these areas, so there is no way a foreigner would be allowed to buy one, let alone a house. Other options you might consider include renting an apartment or buying in a neighboring area.

If you get a B or C permit you'll be able to buy pretty much wherever you want. Of course, this may involve more commitment than you wish to make if you don't want to live in Switzerland, but that's the only legal option available to you.
