Château d’Ouchy **** Grandiose old pile put up in the 1890s on the ruins of a twelfth-century keep. This is the only hotel situated on the lake-side of the main road, separated from the water by lush gardens. Stout, woody decor, open fireplaces and some surprisingly affordable rooms add to the charm.
