The closest campsite to town is lakeside Vidy, sandwiched between the Roman ruins and the International Olympic
Committee headquarters – it’s a five-star site, with plenty of facilities
and high prices. From St-François take bus #2 (direction Bourdonette) to
Bois de Vaux, or from the station take bus #1 to Maladière and walk five
minutes.

Handily central on a busy pedestrian street,
boasting lurid 1970s-style carpets and ordinary rooms. Walk-in prices
plummet after 8pm.

is a small guesthouse a few minutes’ uphill walk from the train station
(or bus #3 to Cécil), with clean, well-kept dorms for Fr.25, and some
pleasant rooms.
