Description : Picture of the ruins of the castle of Tourbillon in Sion in the canton of Valais. Tourbillon ('whirlwind') was the castle of the Duke. On the opposite side, Valère was the residence of the bishop. The Duke's castle was destroyed several centuries ago. Both castles are seated each on its own hill in the old city of Sion. They make for a very interesting walk. |
