| The young heiress of Aristotle Onassis' billions lives with her French
father and stepfamily on the shores
of Lake Geneva. Athina Roussel was born in 1985 and went to school in the canton of Vaud. She is the granddaughter
of the billionaire shipowner, Aristotle Onassis. Athina's mother, Christina
Onassis, died in 1988, leaving the management of her father's fortune to
four Greek administrators. Athina Onassis lives with her French father, Thierry Roussel, and her
stepfamily, in Lussy-sur-Morges,
near Lausanne. The young Athina is
considered the richest girl in world, and the fortune she will inherit has spawned
much jealousy. After several legal proceedings between Thierry Roussel and the
Greek administrators, the Onassis fortune, which is estimated at 2 billion dollars,
is now managed by an independent fiduciary in Lucerne. In the aftermath of all the proceedings, Athina Onassis now lives in peace
on the shores of Lake Geneva.
At the age of 15, she already speaks fluent French, English and Swedish,
the language of her stepmother. Living on the
shores of Lake Geneva, she devotes much time to her passion for horseback
riding, in addition to tennis and skiing. But Athina has not forgotten Greece,
and she frequently travels to the land of her forefathers. |
